The National Mail Voter Registration Form, available for download from the United States Election Assistance Commission (EAC), is the one document that allows you to register to vote from anywhere in the United States. In general, to be eligible to vote in the United States you must be at least 18 years old, a citizen, and in some states, not have been convicted of a felony. States have various laws about the right of felons to vote.
Please note: Some states allow eligible voters to cast their votes before Election Day. This is commonly called early voting. To see if your state allows this, contact your state election office. Also, no states conduct Internet voting.
