Recreational Activites - Winter Sports
Are you a Baie-Comeau winter sportee? I know I am, but I also know that I can get in over my head, like that snowdrift at Mt. Massive that lived up to its name. I learned that doing some research was kind of important, and it could help you too. Being extreme doesn't have to mean that you can't be smart about it too.
Winter sports are described by the recreation standard as snow/ice activities, sledding and dog sledding, downhill skiing, ice skating, snowboarding, cross country skiing, ice fishing, and snowshoeing. Many of America's public recreation areas are open to a host of these recreational opportunities during the winter season. However, licensing, fees and seasonal restrictions vary from site to site. For detailed information on a particular location, please contact that site directly.
For contact information, please use the telephone numbers, addresses, e-mail addresses and web sites provided at http://www.recreation.gov/.
To view recreational areas listed in Recreation.gov that allow winter sports, please view their recreational activity search results for winter sports.
